2009 marks the 25th anniversary of the BIMA Awards and to celebrate we have totally revamped the event…

New venue: KOKO is one of London’s top venues and home to the biggest glitter ball in Europe, promising a sparkling evening of entertainment, networking and fun.

More impartial: The judging is more transparent than ever. Judges give specific reasons for their scores which are then fed back to the entrant.

More inclusive: New awards categories have been added to represent the whole of the interactive community.

The BIMAs™ celebrate creative excellence and best practice in interactive design. Every year BIMA reviews the categories and the judging criteria and makes important changes to fully reflect the constantly evolving industry. This year we have more awards categories than ever, including the newly introduced Special Awards category which recognises excellent examples of interactive craft. The winners will be chosen from all the entries received for the main awards, so it is not possible to enter directly.

There is also a new format for the Awards presentation evening which takes us to the fantastic KOKO in Camden, London, a venue that has previously hosted top acts such as Madonna, Prince and the Wildhearts etc. The event will be more accessible and affordable and in this nightclub environment promises to be the best BIMAs ever.
