View Work
SoundJunction is packed with materials and activities that can be used for learning. The web site, which was commisioned by Culture Online, part of the government's Department of Culture, Media and Sport, and produced by the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, aims to encourage people to listen to, explore, discover and create music online. Judges said there was an excellent amount of content on the site, including videos of more than 40 famous musicians talking about their instruments, how they made it to the top and what it's like. The site also offers educational articles and features on the history of music, instruments, as well as resources for teachers, including ideas for how to use SoundJunction in music workshops and out-of-school music learning.
The site also offers tools to enable visitors to make or remix their own music with the free online composer software.
