Agency Atticmedia Ltd
Client First Light
View Work
Film Street is designed to unlock imaginations, introduce kids to the joys of film and encourage creative expression through filmmaking. The project was commissioned by Culture Online, part of the Department of Culture, Media and Sport, and developed by First Light in partnership with CBBC, the British Film Institute, the UK Film Council and Creative Partnership.
Digital agency Atticmedia built the site, which enables kids to view trailers for films in the cinema, showcase their own films, and learn about the process of film-making, including how to create a storyboard and costume design. A seperate section for parents and teachers features information on how to use the site, activity ideas, and additional resources on film and film-making for children.
Atticmedia involved children throughout development, incorporating their ideas and feedback. Judges described Filmstreet as genuinely educational and a great use of the medium through showcasing kids' own work.
