Digital communications agency Head London decided to conceive and undertake its own World Cup initiative. The result, England All Stars, was an alternative take on England's progress during the World Cup in Germany.
The site combined the saucy adventures of a couple of puppets, interviews from Germany and stop-frame animation highlights of all the England matches. Created and produced in-house, the whole agency was involved in the venture.
One judge described the entry as brave, courageous, funny and brilliant. Another said: "England All Stars was quite simply the most engaging web site."
The site offered many chances for people to interact, including "Pimp My Sven" feature, where users could dress up former England coach Sven with optional "bling" accessories, download content such as ringtones and videos, and post their own content, including video clips and text, on the open blog section.
