Project Tango Clear Viral Campaign
Agency Hall Moore CHI
Client Tango
View Work
Developing just a basic spoof campaign wasn't Hall Moore's plan when it came up with the idea of mirroring the ultra-successful Sony Bravia "balls" work for Tango. Instead, it aimed to develop the idea significantly, creating a fake community of Swansea residents that pushed the Tango Clear drink in a style all Tango's own.
Producing a brilliant version of the "balls" as - using fruit instead of balls and Swansea rather than San Francisco - Hall Moore also built the idea that Swansea residents were up in arms at the damage caused by the ad's production. Fake press coverage, news web sites and a residents' association web site followed that built an enormous viral effect, as well as video podcasts and videos for Sony PSPs.
The campaign claimed more than three million page impressions and more than one million views of the main ad.
