Hello everyone,
I have a new perm to brief you on, with a mobile app design agency based in Central London. They are looking for someone to work across multiple projects, and every mobile platform going, hoping to step up into a lead interaction design role within 9-12 months (leading projects, client engagements, running workshops, scoping and requirements capture and analysis). For the right person, this role will pay around the 40k mark.
These guys have made a real transition over the last 9 months, from an app shop best known for being able to deliver products in a very short turnaround time, but built on a set of standard API's, to a much more bespoke interaction design agency working across all mobile platforms. Their process has matured alongside their capabilities, with UX and design now sitting in different portions of the (true UCD) production process. Their client list is a who's who of household names, and their growth over the last 12 months has been phenomenal.
They are looking for someone to work alongside the Head of UX, to be involved at every stage of the creative process; pitch, stakeholder engagement and requirements capture, workshops and scoping, concepting and strategy definition, detailed production of assets (journeys, sitemaps, individual screen wireframes, interaction models across all platforms), and then working with the in-house developers to build and deliver.
You don't need previous mobile experience, so this is a great way to get some. But you do need to have been working across the full spectrum of UX deliverables, and be comfortable engaging with clients in the initial stages of projects.
