The Senior Project Manager is an important member of our Project Management team; you are responsible for delivering projects! You will lead and manage the project team, with the authority and responsibility to run the project on a day-to-day basis.
You will be a real self-starter with lots of energy and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills to manage projects, follow TH_NK’s project process and controls to ensure that projects are delivered to the very best standards, on-time and to budget.
Reporting to the operations director you will need to ensure you’re on top of the following:
Managing the full project lifecycle including; project planning, cost estimation and tracking, resource planning, risk and quality management;
Extracting information from various management systems and effectively communicating this to internal stakeholders
Utilising a wide range of tools including Project Server 2007 and Sharepoint 2007
Working in a team and demonstrating leadership capabilities
Managing project administration
Conducting end project evaluation to assess how well the project was managed
Preparing a Lessons Learned report (this may be included in a project closure project)
Preparing any follow-on action recommendations as required
Skills and Competencies:
Educated to degree standard or equivalent with a strong academic record in Maths and English
Equivalent experience in a project management role with a special focus on web application and software development
Prince 2 Qualification an advantage although not required
Certified Scrum Master an advantage
MS Project Server
MS Office suite
Ability to manage projects and work in an autonomous fashion
Good understanding and ability to implement project processes to manage scope, quality, timing and budget including early detection of variance
You will be extremely organised and have the ability to confidently liaise directly with clients in a professional manner
You will be comfortable with grasping the high-level functionalities of technology as means of furthering your involvement in the project lifecycle
You will have been responsible for client budgets in your previous role
