Creating information architectures from a user perspective
We have many years experience in developing the information structures from the site, looking at how a site will be used by a visitor and designing it around this, rather than the internal structure of an organisation. We have been undertaking interface design since the early days of multimedia and CD-ROM creation and we have a team of interface design specialists who have established a wide-ranging knowledge of interaction design over a period of many years. We create designs that specifically utilise the medium whilst working within the parameters of the users’ technology and have significant experience in effective site structuring and the user journey.

Interface and identity design
We have a team of talented interface designers who can create unique site designs that reflect your identity, but which also fulfil the needs of the information architecture, whilst operating effectively within the parameters of the web.

Standards focused web development
We have specialist knowledge in developing to a wide range of current best practice standards. We also have specific experience in complying with both the RNIB web guidelines for accessibility and the broader guidelines set out by the office of the e-envoy for government and public sector web sites. This ensures any site we build is fully accessible, globally compliant and platform independent.

Content management expertise
We developed one of the earliest content management solutions in 1996 – ‘Pilot’. We have other content management systems that run sites including Bluewater, City and Guilds and Sustrans. We have also integrated sites with many industry standard packages including RedDot, Immediacy, Gauss, Websphere and Microsoft CMS. This enables us to provide a wealth of technical and process knowledge without being tied to a single technology solution. We will evaluate your needs and select the appropriate solution and partnerships based on the specific requirements of project.

Writing and content support
An internet site will only work effectively for users if the content is current, useful and readable. We run bespoke web writing courses to train staff within your organisation to write effectively for the web. We are also able to help you with copywriting, content input, and though partners with translations and specialist writing.

Hosting and Support
We wholly own Pinnacle Internet one of the UK’s first B2B ISPs. Through this we have expertise to recommend architectures to you, provide the complete hosting architecture and a highly trained support team. We also work with other specialist partners to deliver more specialist hosting architectures if required.
