Numiko helps clients get the most out of the massive opportunities offered by new internet based communications. We combine creative ideas, the inspired use of online technologies and an obsessive understanding of how people use them. This means that you get more than just technology geeks, you also get a humanistic approach to how people interact with each other, organisations and brands.

Although our team brings years of experience, at Numiko we never assume that two projects are the same. We start by understanding the needs of our clients, and their audiences. We then create a strategy that will truly engage the audience in a useful, fun or memorable way. This may manifest itself in any number of ways, from an online game, a rich-media web site, a blog, an eCommerce site, or a set of tools that help the end user achieve something creative or special.

Whatever the end product may be, there are a few things you can take for granted; the focus is on effective and memorable engagement. The creative is polished, stylish and sophisticated. The technical execution is based on best practice by some of the best developers in the industry.

The company was founded as New Media Collective in the year 2000 by a multi disciplined group who had worked together on many projects such as film, interactive projects, computer generated special effects, graphic design, programming, animation, photography and music. The founders of New Media Collective had a shared vision to create a company that could bring together all these skills to create engaging digital content. In 2007 New Media Collective was re-branded to Numiko to reflect the evolution of the company.

Recently we have deployed sites that make use of innovative web 2.0 technologies to capitalise on new, more interactive functionality that can now be offered, also capitalising on ‘the social web’ by empowering the communities that surround an organisation which can often prove key to operational success.

We understand more than many other agencies that when increased user interaction at this level is made available, it requires an approach that is different from the average ‘web site build’ project. These types of projects are never truly ‘finished’, rather in a continuous state of phased release, where users are consulted and, the site is adapted in line with how people are using it. New content and functionality are trialed in increments, and if successful are developed further. (See appendix for more on this.)

We also know that in today’s world no communication should be viewed in isolation and we understand marketing in its widest sense. In the past, members of our team have worked with DM, branding, TV campaigns, print and PR. But we all love digital now and we know where it excels and how best it can fit into the marketing mix as the most effective communication tool at your disposal. We’d encourage regular round table discussions with all agencies involved in the entire communications delivery to ensure joined up thinking and a cross media approach that gets the most value from your investment.
