Article Date: 29th Jun 2010
Following their double Revolution Award wins and RTS Yorkshire Award, Numiko have recently added Virgin Media Television to their impressive roster of broadcast clients including the BBC, ITV.com and Lion Television.
Numiko have been commissioned by Virgin Media Television to create a visually rich site with a focus on social media and unique content for this year’s series of Britain’s Next Top Model that airs exclusively on LIVING.
Launching this summer on LIVING, the popular show will reveal a fresh new line up of judges, with iconic fashion superstar and international businesswoman, Elle Macpherson, hosting the show.
Alongside Elle, the new judges who will be teaching the girls a thing or two about the competitive and ruthless face of the industry will be international designer, Julien MacDonald OBE, stylist Grace Woodward and top male model Charley Speed.
More glamorous and feisty than ever before, the series pitches 25 aspiring fashion beauties against one another in a compelling combination of glamorous photo shoots and gruelling challenges, with catfights on the catwalk guaranteed from the off. Each week, Elle and the panel will eliminate one contestant in their quest to uncover a new cover star, with the winner scooping the ultimate prize package – a contract with agents Models 1 and a cover spread with monthly glossy Company and a campaign with Revlon, the world leader in cosmetics.
Viewers and fans of the show can witness the fierce competition weekly on LIVING and in-between episodes, can get their Britain’s Next Top Model fix by delving into the exciting new website to get the gossip on what’s really happening in the models’ house by viewing exclusive photos, videos, polls and competitions; creating extra buzz and interest around the series. The social network integration for the series has also been elevated on the series through the use of Twitter feeds and Facebook Open Graph features.
Numiko’s Managing Director Dave Eccles said of the win: “As an agency, we have come to understand entertainment brands and how stories evolve. We also have a deep understanding of how people really use technology and what they want from it. We are thrilled to have been chosen to work with Virgin Media TV on such a high profile and aspirational show”.
Virgin Media Television’s Digital Partnerships Manager Tanya Carus Blacher said: “This year's season of Britain’s Next Top Model is really raising the bar for the show; with Elle, an HD production and now a gorgeous, glossy, socially-integrated site produced by Numiko. We’re delighted to be working with Numiko and look forward to seeing the outcome of our collaboration”.
