Member News: Box UK talks about the rise of Mobile Platforms and how to Stay Safe

Article Date: 29th Oct 2010

Box UK's Amaxus Product Manager Carey Hiles recently took part in a series of online video presentations from Application Developers based in Wales. The videos are designed to increase awareness of emerging digital technologies and services, as well as provide advice and tips on protecting yourself against the possible dangers of using them. The initiative was conceived by e-Crime Wales to support the lead up to their annual e-Crime Wales summit for 2010, which took place in July at the Celtic Manor Resort, Newport.

You can view the videos by following the link in the right-hand box, they are e-Business and e-Security on Mobile and 3 Top Tips for e-Security. They provide a valuable introduction into the growing field of mobile platforms and applications, how they're changing the industry, and a personal insight into the effect this has had on what we do at Box UK. Carey also discusses what he considers to be the three top areas of importance when considering, or developing for, mobile devices.

We are very proud to have been able to support e-Crime Wales in ensuring individuals and businesses are kept informed of the latest advances in digital technology, and aware of the risks associated with using them.
