Member News: Zone appoints former Dare new business director
Article Date: 1st Jun 2012
Digital agency Zone has appointed Dare’s new business director Liza Wostmann as group account director. She will lead the agency’s delivery across a number of new accounts, including Pernod Ricard’s Malibu rum brand.
Zone has also appointed six additional roles across the client services team, on the back of a host of new business wins including Coca-Cola’s MyCoke portfolio, Malibu, Unicef and Yahoo!. The agency’s first campaign for Malibu, a Facebook-based loyalty programme, launched in May 2012.
Wostmann joined Dare as a producer in 2004, rising to lead a 12-strong team as group account director on Sony Ericsson before taking on the new business director role in 2009. Prior to Dare, she was eCRM manager at lastminute.com, where she was responsible for the e-commerce brand’s pan-European email marketing programme.
The new appointments come on the back of a spectacular year of growth for the agency. Zone integrated with pro-social specialist and sister agency Public Zone in January 2012. The wider agency’s client list includes Coca-Cola, BT, The Economist, The UN, Channel 4, The Prostate Cancer Charity and the National Trust.
Karen Byrne, client services director at Zone, said: “Liza is a lively character with the perfect blend of experience, ambition, talent and good humour. We’re delighted to welcome her to the team.”
Liza Wostmann, group account director at Zone, said: “As brands become media owners, Zone's creative and editorial offering places us in a unique position to help our clients be constantly relevant, interesting and entertaining. This, coupled with the Public Zone merger, is a compelling proposition I'm very excited to be a part of.”
