The last day for Awards entries is 10th August 2010. Please ensure that your entries are sent online to the BIMA office by that deadline.

Below is a variety of frequently asked questions regarding the BIMA Awards. If you haven't found the answer to your question on this page, please send it by e-mail to awards@bima.co.uk and we will endeavour to respond immediately.


When can I enter the Awards? The Call for Entries is now open and you must use the online entry form to enter your work. For entries that include CD/DVD etc. the entry form must be sent online and the product forwarded to the BIMA address by post. Unfortunately it will not be possible to return products unless a prior arrangement is made and a stamped, self-addressed label is supplied.


What is the deadline? The last day for Awards entries is 10th August 2010. Please ensure that your entries are sent online to the BIMA office by that deadline


When is the judging? Judging will take place in September/October 2010.


Who are the judges? The judging panel will comprise leading interactive media practitioners chosen by the awards committee.


When is the shortlist announced? The shortlist will be announced in October 2010 via the press and this website. Everyone on the shortlist will be notified via email.


When is the Awards Night? The BIMA 2010 Awards Night will be held at a venue in London on 25th November 2010.


Are my entries confidential? All judging will take place under an agreement of confidentiality.


What work should be entered? We have a wide selection of categories. These cover everything from websites to mobile projects and allow you to enter work based on platform (Web, Mobile etc.) or by content type (Entertainment, Art & Culture, Business to Business).


Can work be entered into multiple categories? Absolutely! BIMA encourages work to be entered across multiple categories since it means you stand a much better chance of winning. For example, you would be able to enter an online store into 'Consumer' as its content type entry and 'Website' as its platform entry.


Can I enter printed material by post as well as submitting the online entry form? Apart from entries that have associated software such as CD/DVD, only the online entry form will be considered by the judges. You are welcome to include further information on a micro site, but the URL of this site must be supplied in the description section of the entry form at the time of entry.


What are the judges looking for? There is an overall detailed description of what the judges are looking for included with the list of categories


What work is eligible for entry? Any interactive project, which has been available between July 2009 and August 2010, is eligible to be entered. Projects do not need to be “live” today as long as they were during this period. Check out the Terms & Conditions for all the small print. All entries must remaining viewable until the end of November 2010.


Can my company sponsor an Award? Yes indeed! An excellent sponsorship package is available. Please contact the BIMA office on awards@bima.co.uk if you would like further details.
