London, 31 January 2018: BIMA, the UK’s digital trade body, today announces the appointment of Holly Hall as its new Managing Director. Holly will join the BIMA team in April 2018.

Holly replaces Bridget Beale, who became the organisation’s first MD in 2014. She joins at a pivotal time, and will lead the continued expansion of BIMA’s relevance, reach and services, including a new partnership with Microsoft.

Holly spent the last three years as International Business Development Director for D&AD, the global educational charity which exists to promote excellence in design and advertising. Her role involved driving growth and new business outside the UK, with notable successes including D&AD Impact – a partnership with Advertising Week NY; establishing a Chinese office, and setting up D&AD’s International Advisory Board, comprising 26 leading global industry figures.

Prior to her role as IBD Director, Holly was D&AD’s Awards Director.

I’m delighted to be joining BIMA at what is a hugely exciting time. I am passionate about creating meaningful connections with individuals & businesses, and helping to build future-facing communities with innovation, education and excellence at their heart.

No organisation is better placed to be that future-facing community than BIMA. It’s a place that can connect skills, services and knowledge, and a place where our members can find a unified voice on the things that matter, be they technological (Like AI, data and blockchain) or personal (like skills and talent and promoting diversity).

“BIMA occupies a unique position, and I’m committed to ensuring that, through our strategic partnerships, through our increasingly vital councils and think tanks, and through our ongoing programme of events, we remain a champion for people within the digital industries, and a champion for the good that digital can do for the British economy.”

Natalie Gross and Tarek Nseir, Co-Presidents of BIMA, said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Holly to BIMA. During our search for a new MD, we were clear we wanted someone who would be a great cultural fit for BIMA and who could support us in delivering on our strategy to make BIMA the leading voice for British digital innovation and community. In Holly we believe we have found the perfect candidate.

In her career to date she has demonstrated an ability to deliver innovation and growth, and to develop commercial and strategic partnerships – and of course run fantastic awards! We’re looking forward to seeing her apply that same skillset at BIMA, for the benefit of our members and for Britain’s digital economy.”
