A huge congratulations to the agencies and brands who took away a BIMA Award.

Sweeping the board this year was Jam, with five wins in total, including taking away the coveted Grand Prix award. Both their 'Tap for Water' Philippines typhoon appeal initiative and its 'Xbox - A real-life transfer saga for the virtual world' campaign won two awards each.

Holler were announced Agency of the Year scooping up multiple awards on the night, with R/GA, Razorfish, AMVBBDO and OgilvyOne all taking home multiple awards.

This year, for the first time, BIMA awarded trophies for the ‘Best Work on a Smaller Budget,’ with two trophies being awarded, both scooped up by Holler, which also won the title of ‘Agency of the Year.’

The 2014 Awards saw a dramatic rise in entries into the User Experience category, up 57%, won by The App Business’s On Track app for the Go-Ahead Group, reflecting a surge of interest from brands in improving their digital user experience. Entries to the Social Media category, won by Jam’s Xbox campaign, mirrored brands’ continued attention to the channel, with entries up 21%.

It’s amazing to think that the very first BIMA Awards took place in 1985! Ever since then we’ve been celebrating the creativity of the British digital industry and this year the bar was simply raised even higher. The UK digital industry is the envy of the world and last night’s winners can be justly proud of their contribution to that. Adam Graham, Chair of BIMA
