We will be speaking with a line up of well-renowned entrepreneurs and business owners who are breaking new ground across the digital and technology sectors with a focus on how this is shaping forward-thinking ideas, discussing case studies of great work as well as providing insight into how to approach client briefs with innovative solutions - and get paid for it.

Naomi Timperley - Tech North Advocate

Naomi Timperley is an Honorary Industry Fellow at the University of Salford Business School, Co Founder of Tech North Advocates and Chair of investment platform Capital Pilot. She was named as one of the Maserati 100 in 2015 – a definite list of entrepreneurs who support the entrepreneurs of tomorrow from the Centre of Entrepreneurs. Naomi is also a mentor and was nominated in 2015 by the European Mentoring and Coaching Council for Mentor of the Year. She is a TEDx speaker and an experienced partnerships and engagement consultant with established relationships across the UK - specialising in the tech and digital sector. Naomi was named as a Rising Star in the Computer Weekly Most Influential Women in UK IT 2017 and sits on the board of Future Everything.

Jacob Dutton - 383

Jacob is Managing Partner at 383. In an era of changing customers, competitors, and technology, 383 work with the world's biggest companies to help them to get fit for the future. Jacob is interested in helping old companies to act like new ones by developing modern skills, creating innovation capabilities and building better customer experiences. Over the past decade, Jacob has worked on innovation, proposition invention, experience design and product development with Hilton, General Motors, Universal, BBC and Jaguar Land Rover.

David Edmundson-Bird - Digital Innovation

David is Principal Lecturer in Digital Marketing at Manchester Metropolitan University, where he runs a number of digital communications programmes, and is also the Associate Director for Digital Innovation. He is Course Leader for Manchester Met’s new E-Learning Global MSc Digital Marketing launching this September. He also set up their part-time MSc in Digital Marketing in 2007, a programme that has now graduated nearly 350 high-profile professionals into the sector, and their full-time MSc Digital Marketing Communication – now in its 3rd year. David founded Manchester Met’s Agency Life programme 6 years ago to enable students to experience live work skills in the workplace very early in their course. He has enjoyed several spells in academia as well as senior management roles in the digital sector, and even helped to set up Manchester’s second web design agency back in 1995.
