The average time a graduate spends in their first job is just 18 months. 1 in 4 quit within a year. If your digital business is only as good as your people, it’s clear we need to do more to ensure those people stay.

On 17 October, join us as we explore the changing face of recruitment and retention in digital. We’ll share insights into what matters to the current crop of candidates. And we’ll explore how immersive technologies such as AR, VR and AI are helping brands reinvigorate recruitment and retention.

Who’s this for?

Ideal for digital agencies who are employers, for any organisation looking to attract and retain the emerging Gen-Z graduate market, or for any business looking at ways of applying new technology as part of its engagement, development and retention strategy.

Agenda:

8.30am - Arrive, coffee and networking

8.45am - Talks kick off

10am - Talks end

Tickets are free for BIMA members or £30 + VAT for non-members. To get your BIMA Member discount code email events@bima.co.uk

Event speakers

Tom Hall, Brother & Managing Director at Contented Brothers

Tom’s role as MD started in 1979 when his brother was born. He quickly realised that Birdie was a creative genius and decided to stick close by. 31 years later they finally started Contented Brothers. In between Tom spent a lot of time in higher education, finally admitting that he wasn’t suited to it three years into an PhD on early Tudor dietary guides. He enjoyed the teaching and whiteboard bit though. After that he was co-founder of t5m, an online television network that produced 100s of hours of celebrity and event focused branded content. Tom’s main source of contentment at work is from seeing the talented team who make up the Contented Brothers family grow and develop.

Ali Hackett, Recruitment Technology and Employer Brand Expert, Director and Co-founder at Meet & Engage

Ali worked for many years as an independent consultant managing projects spanning employer brand, recruitment, employability and retention across a variety of sectors.

Ali’s experiences as an in-house recruitment leader, covering both volume and experienced hires has given her a depth of understanding around the challenges organisations face and a passion for putting candidate experience firmly on the agenda. She is excited about the possibilities technology can offer businesses who want to create engaging candidate experiences and increase advocacy. Ali and her team work with Meet & Engage clients to share insights, ideas and to ensure maximum return on investment.

Holly Taylor - People Operations Lead AND Folk Music Fanatic at AND Digital

Since making the jump from Hospitality to Tech, Holly has been able to work with AND Digital to enrich their people proposition by working on engagement and retention strategies in order to retain some of the best talent in the industry. From wellness/benefit perks to robust feedback loops and performance reviews, everything that goes on at AND Digital is focussed on developing their people’s careers.

Holly will provide a snapshot into AND Digital’s niche business structure, and explore how it lends itself to Employee Engagement for the Millennial Mindset and in turn the emerging Gen-Z graduate market.
